Default Oil on Rims

Whenever I wash my car and then wash the rims I notice that there is alot of oil on the rims especially the front rims. There is a good amount, when I wash it, you can tell the difference because the rims are not as dark anymore. Is this normal?

Thats not oil. Thats brake dust from your brakes. It's normal. Nothing to worry about.

I have a feeling your CV boots are out. Check under the car and see if they're ripped/torn.

CV grease doesn't just wash off like that though. When mine went out i never got any on the inside of the rim and i tried to clean it off from around the joint and it wouldn't come off... i could be wrong though... :/

Yup, you're right. It takes a lot of effort with scrubbing and brushing to get those out.

OP - Post pictures of what the "oil" looks like.

That's after I cleaned it. You can still see some in between the spokes where I was too lazy to clean. Not all of it can come off either, but before I cleaned it there was this "oil" on the spokes and the hubcap as well but it was not as dark as it was in between the spokes.
