They probably used a relocation kit or custom part to relocate the safety release away from the grill. It's more aesthetically pleasing not to have a random hole in your grill for the release. A lot of aftermarket grill setups require the release to be relocated.

That actually looked very nice, yeah! I generally oppose of DIY mods for these cars, since they easily look shoddy. I think mine will look better with an S4 grille though...
