Default Our cars are really, really compact.

Dam. I always knew these cars were small but i never thought that with the V6 in there that there would be like ZERO room for anything. Not a second fan for extra cooling, not even a n air duct for a ture ram air could even have the slightest chance of fitting in that engine bay. I understand why the PES G2 Supercharger guys are having such a problem with fitting an intercooler in there.

lol any body know of any thing we could get rid of to free up some room?

Secondly - And body with a CAI for the 2.8 know if there is any possible route for an air-duct to the frontgrills in the bumper? As in, when the stock air box is removed? lol.

Dam i bet you 1.8T guysgot more space in there then 2.8ers

This is simply a "Just thinkin in class cause im boerd thread" guys....

Yeah, I have absolutely no problems working on my car.. well, besides the spending money part.

I also have an mk3 jetta.. the engine bay is basically a box with a couple wires in it. I replaced the clutch on that car last Friday, way too easy.

i did a custom true CAI on my 2.8 12v. The filter ended up near the passenger wheel well. I couldn't find my original post, I'll see if i still have pics at home.

you can barely see the filter next to the oil cooler, faceing downwards.

you can see the connecting tube below on the bottom left.

I don't have the car anymore, but for the 4 months or so I never had any problems. Only downside is you have to remove the front bumper everytime you replace the filter. Oh well...
