Is there a eway to find the paint color of a car with the VIN, I sold a B5 a few years back and want to use the color but can't remember what blue it was.

 

The paint code is in the trunk next to the spare tire

 

I dont own the car anymore. It was a dark blue I think mica color it had a kinda pearl effect to it. And when I look up 97 paint colors there are a few blues. My girl has a 04 wirh anice dark blue biut my 97 was much nicer color.

 

I don't think you can get the color info from the vin #, try entering your info on http://www.paintscratch.com/ , I did a search with a 97 Audi for you and they have a color called " Pearl Effect Blue Pearl" they have a couple others on there too

 

Thanks man, but they are showing Ming Blue Pearl, which is the darker of the blues, but they also show it for 2003 and my girl has an 03 and I know that dark blue is not the same, wish I could find the car, it went to Detroit or someting or get my hands on a 97 factory sales brochure.

 

I have my 98 a4 sales brochure at home which may have the color options, ill check later

 

I found the brochure, this is for a 98 so it might not have it but it list 2 blues: Santorin Blue Mica and Pelican Blue Metallic. Then there's a greenish blue: Aquarell Green Metallic. Do a search and see if any of those are them, if not I have no other advice
