Default Park Brake Light Flashing While Driving

My car is a 1999.5 A4 2.8 Quattro. So after my car was up on jackstands for a couple of months due to a lack of parts during the big control arm change I finally took it for a drive last night. Not even 100 metres from the shop, the park brake light starts flashing with 3 loud beeps at the start of the flashing. Everything I have seen says it's the brake fluid level sensor sticking but that was all on B6's. I have plenty of brake fluid in the reservoir and the sensor is definitely plugged in. Does anyone out there know what could possibly be causing this and or how to remedy it because it's bloody annoying to have a flashing red light on the dash.

Just going to bump this because I finally got my Vag-com cable. There are no dtc's but the MIL light is still set to on.

Does your ABS light come on at all? Does it come on during the self test when the car is turned on?

I have a similar situation, and yes the ABS light comes on during the self-test and stays on as I drive as well.

It was replaced January this year.

Do these have a history of being defective/dying in less than 10 months?

My ABS light was on to start with because I broke both rear wheel speed sensors last winter while doing the rear wheel bearings. It appears to be a hooped module and I couldn't tell the difference due to the broken sensors. Yippie for having to get the module overhauled...
