Default Parking Brake not working

Hey guys,

So my parking brake does not work at all. When you pull the handle it's like it wasnt even connected to anything. The callipers in the back are fine so my guess is the cable itself is broken? How can I check? If it is broken where can I get a new one?

Thanks

Mines the same way, I'm assuming its the cable to. ECS has them at the cost of a left ********.

Yeah looks like it's 111$ for one side? I dont feel like spending 222$ to fix this lol. For now I just stick the car in gear and it's fine.

I had the same issue.
Turn's out there are adjusters under the car (more towards the back of the car) to Adjust the eBrake.
I can't remember where exactly, but follow the ebrake cable and after it splits into both directions towards each wheel. There should be a metal housing which you can turn clockwise/anti-clockwise to adjust it..

There should be an adjustment on both cables, its about midway on the car right in front of the axle. You have to pop the locking collar off then twist the tighting nut until the brake cable is taught. However if its never been broken loose in 10 years good luck.

Should I be doing these adjustments with the parking brake fully activated (up) or not activated? I'm assuming you do it with it activated and adjust until it makes the callipers activate.

Well what i do is tighten it little by little (with the parking brake down) lock the colar down then test it to see how it feels. If you over tighten it its really damn hard to back it off.
