PCV Locations?
I have a 1997 Audi a4 quattro 2.8L 12v... Replaced all gaskets including head. On my valve covers are the pcv (brittle plastic tubes that run to TB) that connect to a plastic intake that runs into the TB. My friend was helping me with the car and after getting it all back together he brought me a extra piece he forgot he had put in his car. He said it is a pcv valve and said it goes into the valve cover. The extra piece has a valve on it with a L connector on the other end (which connects onto a nipple somewhere?). He said it was used to relieve pressure in the crankcase. I went to the mechanic this morning and he said it connects to the valve cover and there should be a rubber to plug it into, again there is no rubber piece to plug into....Please help me locate where this piece goes!?!?!?!?!?
It won't let me post a pic of it.
On a side note, the one end is round and metal and has some kind of internal blocker to stop airflow (assuming airflow).
