Default Performance Ignition Coils and Spark Plugs?

It's about time to replace my spark plugs, and I was wondering if there were any upgrades worth doing for this type of routine maintenance.

I've seen plenty of ads for performance coils and spark plugs that claim to increase your horsepower, or fuel economy, or both.

I'm a little more concerned with horsepower, but fuel economy is kind of important to me too.

Does anyone have any experience with any of these products or know enough to point me in the right direction?

Thanks

theres people running over 500whp on stock coil packs. not really a need. and nothing conducts power better then 100% copper (with an exception of gold but thats too expensive) and regular $2 NGK spark plugs are 100% copper. spend your money on something else.

^^^ Exactly.

I have always had great performance from my NGK's. And seriously cheap too. Can't beat that. BKR7E if not chipped, BKR6E if chipped. Enjoy.

you think I would be able to run bkr6e's even though I'm not chipped? Seems to be all they carry.

You could try them. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't feel any ill effects. But if your car is having starting issues or idles a bit strange, you'll want the 7's. Hopefully the 6 should work okay.

I plan on getting chipped, probably in a few months. Do you guys think I should wait to get the 6's? I'd hate to buy some new spark plugs only to replace them soon after.
