Default PICS gunmetal wheel w/ black lip

Due to severe mag-chlor damage to the polished lip on my wheels [:@]I decided to paint them. My original plan was to paint the entire wheel but decided to just do the lip before I commited to full black. Im no pro when it comes to paint so I was pleased withmy results. I didnt do a write or anything since many are available and unfortunatly I forgot to take close up pics of the damage before I started sanding. Anyway heres the after pics. Compliments/criticisms appreciated.

since nothing really ties the polished trim on the grille, my next project is to paint that as well. The rings on both ends will remain shiny.

They look good pretty mean looking. You know you could have sanded with 300 grit,400, 600, 800, 1000, than polished and clear coated and they would have looked brand new.I did that to my flix's It took a few hours but they came out great. You need to lower your car and paint the lowers thought.

I thought of repolishing them, but the black lip is a bit different. Im torn about the lowers I feel they look good with the dark wheels but Ive never seen painted lowers look bad too. Definitely saving for some shocks andsprings. thanks for your comments.

good job! i'm going to try and get rid of some curb rash on my brother-in-laws maxima this weekend, then we are going to paint the wheels.

i think if you had it slammed you could leave the lowers unpainted.

I agree with all the others, looks way sweet. My contribution: smoke the tail lights. The black rims and STC trim as well as the tinted windows would tie nicely with black tail lights to contrast the silver paint all around. You'd have a full black on silver car and I think that'd look stellar.
