Default Poll: skid plates - Pics?

Hey guys - just was curious about skid plates / want to make my own before winter / want some suggestions!

If anyone has pics of their home made ones and could post them up that would be really helpful - dimensions would be doubly helpful haha.

I dont have a stock skid plate, or i would just take that and make one similar...

Let me know what you guys have!

I'm running the stock plastic one right now. It'd be nice to upgrade to a metal one in the future though. I've already had one close call bottoming out in the middle of nowhere, and I'm not even lowered yet.

Stock plastic here too. If i still lived at home i'd make one out of scrap aluminum from the machine shop i used to work at, but i'll probably have to pony up and buy a panzer plate. DEFINITELY going to come before springs/coils in the spring...

I don't think the stock skid plate is for protection, I think it's for sound deadening.

I have the panzer plate. It's great, but doesn't protect my ******* tranny pan.

Sound deadening for the pavement?

The stock skid plate helps cool the engine and provides some basic protection.

I do not have a skid plate and I am lowered and the metal arms that hang below my car are ruined... will i still beable to mount a skid plate (panzer plate) without these arms before the winter?
