Default poll for vag com

would a registered version be worth it or will the feebie work fine? I only plan on doing my car and maybe helping a few out. I'm not looking to start an Audi shop or anything so I'm wondering if there is a compelling reason I should buy the full version or not. Thanks for all help.

A full version is required to do the work you need to be on a dealer level. The only thing you won't be able to do with the VAG COM is code immoblizer keys, you need to have access codes and a direct link to germany for authorizationlike that.

okay all I can see needing is to read codes to send me to the right parts and then clear them. not sure of what else I would need to do with it.

The vagcom can do a **** load of things. If you only want it for reading/clearing codes, just get a cheap code reader or just make trips to autozone.

If you really want to know what all a real vagcom can do, visit www.ross-tech.com
