Possible Bad Injector?
Audi A4 1998 1.8T Manual Quattro
My car was running great until yesterday when I was pulling into my garage. I go to get up the driveway and I killed it, so I started it again and put more gas and got up the driveway but my check engine light when on briefly and went off. I turned my engine off and went inside. That night I go to get something to eat and my car had the CEL on so I VAGcom'd it and it brought up two codes. P0300 Random/Mulitiple Misfire P0301 Misfire Cylinder #1 So I switch my coil packs around (I have the 034 Motorsport ICM delete Kit Installed) and no change. I switch my spark plugs around and still no change. I cleared the codes in between each process. I then start the car and pull the plug on Injector #1 and the car sound doesn't change. I ordered some used Fuel Injectors 4 of them for $60. They will be here in the next day or so. Is there anything else I should be looking for in the meantime? Is the injector the cause of this? Leaking Intake Gasket? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ahead. |
id check cyl compression too, you should have started with running seafoam through the tank if you suspected an injector.
