I may be buying a 98 Audi A4 Quattro. It has 155k miles and they want $5k for it. It is the 1.8T AWD 5 speed. Is it worth it and what are things to look for. I know about the timing belt but what else should I ask.

 

ask about the water pump, wheel bearings, clutch, coil packs, plugs, control arms, if there are any dash lights on, ask if has heated seats, body damage. get under it and look for a belly plate, anything hanging which is never good

 

ok cool. I m going to see it tomorrow. I looked at the outside already and it looks good. A few scratches but that's fine. I believe it does have heated seats. I know it is leather interior.

 

the only audis that DONT have leather seats are s4s with the alacarta option haha. maybe older ones too, idk much about ye olde 5 cylinders

 

Some A4 B5s had cloth... I think CCA4 had them in his, it was super weird!

 

my sedan has pleather and that doesnt have heated leather! but the avant does!!!

 

Not true, they made 1.8s with vinyl.

So I checked out the Audi a few min ago. Rides great they want $5400 for it though which I'm not certain but sounds overpriced. It has sunroof, heated seats, &heated mirrors. It rides smooth and all but just unsure on the price. What you guys think
