Default Power Steering

I was drivng home today when pulling out the parking spot at school i could hear the power steering pump it seemed. When the wheel was still it was fine, but when ever i turned it either way it whineed as if the pump was gonna go. Is that a good sign to replace it? or what else could be going on.

Did you check your fluid level?

as dumb as this is, i can't find it. I found the Brake fluid resevour, and the hydrolic liquid one, which btw idk what that does. And then Theres the coolant level one im presuming by the Thermometer on the top, but i can't see where the power steering one would be. Unless i skipped over it thinking it was something else. Where is it exactly?

Front driver's side, in front of ABS module. It has a green cover you unscrew.

if its the green one with the black part int he middle that has mineral fluid or what ever next to it, i checked it and its between both level marks inside and on the side. Im not sure the density its supposed to be, or if the cold has anything to do with it. It was a low of 15 today and a high of 28 soo. im not sure what the case could be. if its not the fluid, what else?pump?

lucas' power steering leak stopper and seal conditioner. it's a rly thick fluid that might help the squealing. since you don't have a leak, i rly think it's your pump

I have a small leak on my power steering fluid and I always refill it w pentosin 11s. Can I use a power steering fluid leak sealer? Can I mix it with pentosin?
