ok. will do. thanks for the tips. assuming i do have to replace the pump, where can i get new banjo fittings or wahsers? is it something that ACE hardware might carry?

 

If there is no apparent seepage, it is best to not disturb the bolt for the banjo fitting. If there is seepage, you will need a 22mm socket for the fitting and a 10mm socket for the retaining bolt for the metal line where it attaches to the RH side of the inlet manifold.

If I remember correctly, the washers are 18x14x2 and can be obtained from an Audi agency or parts supply house. It would be best to bring one of the used washers with you for a correct match.
