Default problem with information screen?

Sense i bought the car i noticed that my screen in the middle of the dash i cant really see. I can see it sometimes but it seems like it is just faded. I'm not familiar with audi's so i don't know to much about theses cars. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

This is a common problem with most B5's.

The dealer will not only replace that particular screen but rather the whole thing which makes the price pretty high up there.

I know this might sound kinda dumb,

But have you tried turning the brightness up all the way by turning the left *** all the way in?

Pete that's not dumb. I hate to rat on myself, but it took me a couple days to figure out how to cut the brightness up on the display. LOL...
