Default project audi... part deux

well idk if you guys recognize my name, but up until yesterday i was driving a silver 1.8t with dark grey rs4 rims and long story short got sick of being same ole same ole... SO i put up a craigslist ad last week and ended up finding someone to give me my asking price in cash yesterday! sooo SO LONG a4... well... not really

anyways, my NEW TO ME (older in years though) car is lovely. pretty much mint is a better word! i had a ton of rock chips on my car all over the hood and bumper and grill ugh. this one has maybe one or two small ones i also had a mis-aligned fender from hitting a dear, and also had a couple dents/ scratches that were gettin to me

i found the car from on the local MNAudi forum and the previous owner with about 4000 posts had this for 7 years, and the owner has a couple other audis from what it sounds so i was not afraid of the work he did and had done! (this thing has a manilla folder FULL of reciepts and shop bills and you name it that has been done... and has never been in an accident so none of this is body work!) the biggest one was in 03 the engine blew and got it replaced with an audi crate 1.8t by anderson motorsports (about the best place you can do this at around the twin cities) for somewhere north of $3k and at the same time had the tranny rebuilt to be safe... so the body has (and odo shows) 100,719 right now, but the engine has like 50k on it

ok ill cut to the chase now... heres the list of mods/ stuff it has had done in the last XX miles: (all different but majority within the last 25k)

Koni fully adjustable coilovers
A8 \TT Brake upgraded break kit w/ Stoptech Stainless steel brake lines
Neuspeed Sway Bars front and back
RS4 grille
GHL Turbo Back exhaust
ATP high flow exhaust mani
APR turbo inlet pipe
Borg Warner K04 Turbo
Nice heat shield
GIAC PC16 Software
Hi flow cat w/ large DP
Evolution Motorsports Cold air intake
310cc Bosch Red top injectors
Southbend Stage 3 clutch (fried)
Stratmosphere hyperboost Diverter valve
Adjustable fuel Pressure regulator (set at 2.8 for the tune)
Evo motorsports (evoms) Front mount intercooler - fits great behind bumper
Alpine Deck w/ ipod out and little ipod holder attached to it
Hella Tinted taillights
Ecode headlights w/ 4300k HID Bulbs and Ballasts
Clear side markers
Lip Spoiler
Pillar Mounted VDO Boost Gauge
Transmission support brace
JHM Short shifter
JHM Short shift linkage
TWM Weighted shift ****
OEM rubber floor mats
New control arms, TRE’s, wheel bearings, spark plugs (what should I gap them to at this tune?!?)
switch blade key from facelift
All season tires with under 10k miles on them
Sunroof! (my other one did not have one, thank god this does ha)
I know I am forgetting some things but that’s the majority… long list!

And the best part of all this is the color… one of the most rare a4 colors ever! im not 100% sure which one it is, I have gotten mixed feedback but I know its either autumn red mica or just autumn red (it was only available in 1997, and only available on 1.8t’s!) Its really not a red at all though, it is like a warm burnt orange color, which I am already loving

bad things:
*needs clutch, but so did mine cause i was going to go to go BT (still am) so this isnt a big deal to me. i have an audi connection
*only has stock 16" rims, will be looking for some ~7 spoke gunmetalish colored rims (any tips or recommendations?)
*looks like there was about a 4" long scratch on the hood that got touch up paint applied with the 'nail-polish style' brushes so its not great
*cruise control does not work i dont think (couldnt get it to right away, didnt try since then)
*3 lights out on the dash, 1 in the top center (cant see the gas gauge), 1 for the speedo arm (that really sucks too ha) and 1 for the bottom 1/3 of the speeds as well. (where can i get replacements?)
*shift **** isnt oem, eh
*with jhm shift kits you can hear a noise from it (i personally dont mind this cause its not very loud at all, but i imagine people will ask about it and i will end up explaining 100 times)
*could use tint asap
*am looking for bumper grills for it, probably just grab them from A&P for $30 each
*tear in the drivers seat, looks EXACTLY like mine ha, so i can live with this too
i am picky and looked over everything and thats all of them, so i will be getting that suff done by the end of winter break for sure, clutch hopefully next week!

My plans for this car are to do above said finishing touches and then go BT this coming summer for sure, if not sooner, and i have some strickly classified 'if i told ya i would have to kill ya' inside info on a new tune coming out relatively soon jk but i will go that route and should be able to do everything for under $2k i think, cant wait!

so what are your guys' thoughts? (i posted this on az too, sorry for anyone who browses both forums)

ok ok i was goign to wait till i could get a nice day sorry.
i noticed it was pre wired with all monster cables (power/aux / remote/ ground) to the trunk i found out and had a small alpine amp and an 8" sub that pounds REALLY nice with this. i had to turn it down on the eq a lot cause it is more than bass than i wanted. quick question, amp is about 9" square, where can i mount it? i want it out of the way because i am going to build a custom box for the 8" that will be sleeper too. probably in the little cubby in back left of trunk. can i do it to the top of the rear speaker deck upside down or....?

Here are some real quick pics, unwashed and all, from my shitty point and shoot. my roomie has a nice dslr he just got so we will take some pictures when its not overcast out next... hopefully soon! couldnt leave ya hanging though so here are some teasers (this camera makes the color look a lot more of a red than it really is. hopefully the cannon can do it justice)

REALLY need rims, tint, and bumper grills now that i look at these [eek]

I really like that color, looks like a nice find. Maybe I missed it in the original post, but does it by chance have the sport cloth interior?
