Default the proper way of adjusting pre-facelift headlights

so now that everything is working on my car and everything that needed service is done, i would like to adjust my headlights. the driver side light shines further than the passenger side one and i also think that they may need to be adjusted to shine further cuz i just cant see crap with them like that. from what i read in the manual i need to get both of the adjustment things to be at "0" if i understood correctly. the problem is that i always though that the passenger side light has to be adjusted a little higher to be able to see pedestrians/bikers on the right side of the road, and the driver side light has to be a bit lower to prevent from blinding oncoming traffic. could someone please explain to me if the manual is right and i have to get both of the lights exactly the same at the "0" marks

this seems like too much work for me lol. could i just set the headlights to the 0 positions on the air bubble thing and the scale thing that are built in into the headlight? all i am asking is if 0 is the right adjustment cuz its kinda weird that both lights would have the same adjustment

No its like super easy i did mine in 10mins all u need is to put the car 20 feet back and adjust it with a screw drive do it by eye just best guess drive the car in the middle of the night for a few minutes if u dont like it adjust it a little bit it's really no big of a deal
