Purge Valve Direction
Hey guys, I know this is my first post, I've been lurking on here for a while though. I have a '98 2.8M 30V Quattro.
I had to replace the purge valve, and decided to grab one from the junkyard (my budget is beyond tight), and it came from a '97 12V 2.8. The purge valve from the 97 looks a bit different and has an arrow on it (the one from my car did not have any arrows).
My question isn't whether or not the one from the 97 will work, but rather which direction that arrow on the actual purge valve needs to be pointing. It seems logical that it would point in the direction of flow (toward the engine, rather than the charcoal canister), but I'd love it if someone could confirm who knows for sure.
