Default Quattro Launch

I was wondering if any one has ever lost traction launching from a stop with quattro. (considering you have somewhere around stock power.) i was making a u turn on a main road the other day, launched hard and skid sideways (quattro fishtale) during a somewhat hot and very dry day. it was a weird feeling. lol.

Anybody ever loose traction launching in a straight line? Ive never even been able to chirp.

I can but I make a little more then stock hp.

On the quattro car it is not easy to spin all 4 wheels off the line since the car has a torsen center diff which applies power to the wheel with the least resistance and the car also uses the ABS to slow down the fastest spinning wheel and apply resistance.

i've laid a few paches, brodies are great fun too. i also have achieved an axis doughnut, but that was on fresh laid black top, but none the less a wild ride. usually if i try to do a rolling speed doughnut, it ends up kind of like the dahlback gti until the tires heat up and catch causing it to turn into just well... a turn. but i'm pushing 300+ hp. well see what she does when i get the engine back from the mechinist and i turn it up 28 psi!

well if you have esp on and you lose traction it'll flash so i've never been able to do it with it on but i have slightly broken the wheels launching once. it's not very easy to do lol.

Only when it's wet or when im making a u turn do i loose traction, but its very hard with the quattro, try to do a burn out and all you get is a jump in the air and a haul forward(which is very fun don't get me wrong) but you f up your clutch!! andhiwords you have esp??? i thought they didn't put it on the Quattro's, maybe they started putting it after 1999??? cause mine doesn't have it!! ive neverseen it before on a Quattro

Mine doesn't have ESP. It was an option in 2001.

it applies power to the wheel with the most resistance

in a launch wouldent you want more power to go to the wheels with the most resistance? like the back ones?
