Hi guys, Ive recently got my car back from the garage after losing lots of power feels flat & nasty! They thought originally the N75 had died so tried a new one of those, that didnt cure the problem. They then tried a new MAF with the new N75, still it was no different. They came to the conclusion it was the turbo!

When it lost power it briefly boosted hard before going really flat. Since then i must admitt i can't here that faint turbo whistle anymore and may be it is the turbo, what does everyone else think?

Just out of curiosity does any one know which turbo part number would be on my car, there are so many but all the ones I've seen are for 150Hp A4's, My A4 quattro sport is 180Hp standard and have no idea which turbo they have fitted to it, the engine code is AJL, i can even post my chassis number if it helps? Im desperate to find out which turbo it is so i can order a new or recon one but can't afford to remove the turbo to see the part number! Its my daily driver.

Please help if you can.

I believe the 180HP version has the KKK K03s.

 

Also have you tried pressure testing the system to see if maybe it's just a big boost leak?

 

Also do you get any smoke or anything like that out the exhaust?

Its a 2000 model. I haven't noticed any smoke as such, would it be bad?

You said its a K03s, what OEM part numbers are they do you know?

 

I don't know the actual part number but the 2000 has the K03. Not the K03s. As for smoke, yes your would notice it.

There are so many different K03 part numbers, are they all the same? or would it be better to replace it with a specific part number?

What differences are there between the K03 & K03s?

 

K03s is a "sport" version. They are the 170hp rated A4s, and they weren't made in 2000. Started in 2001.
