Default Question on FMIC

I've been looking at a couple kits, i like this one alot and it seems to have all the parts needed

GODSPEED 98-01 AUDI A4 S4 1.8T INTERCOOLER KIT FMIC NEW | eBay

Can anyone tell me for sure? Will i be able to retain my stock fog lights because thats a biggie for me.

Also if anyone has links where i can peice this together for cheaper im all for it.

I think these cheaper kits will be fine for what im planning, probably a gt28r.

Thanks.

PS. Anyone have links where i can get the couplers in red to work with all this? Im going to be doing the calipers red and all and would like a uniform color scheme.

I wouldnt go with an ebay front mount, they're just not worth it. The cores are not nearly dense enough. They'll work up unto like a FT but after that they'll heatsoak.

If you want a cheap but quality front mount I'd go with treadstone, thats what I'm going with on a disco potato

My main concern is keeping my fogs, the treadstones look decently priced.

I'm with you on the fog lights. Easiest way to keep them is to go with an aftermarket upgraded side mount, but they're not nearly as efficient or cost effective as a front mount. I'm also hesitant to trim the bumper re-bar in order to run a front mount, which is required with just about every one that I've seen except APR (which is almost $1k). Boost Factory doesn't sell SMIC's anymore and Apikol and TyrolSport's are both $500+. For that much you could get a very nice front mount that could handle way more HP and boost with way less heat soak. I realize that post prolly didn't help in the least but I thought I'd just give you my two cents worth.

I looked at the ICs offered by Treadstone, and they don't offer a core less than 3" thick. Personally I'm not willing to cut the bumper support... and I also wouldn't want the core sitting low enough to clear the bumper support. But I'm also not BT.
