to check, look in the interior of the car and if there is a chrome quattro badge in the trim in front of the passengers seat above the glovebox, then your audi should be equipped with it.

Also, If your rear trunk lid says quattro that doesnt mean that you have it, your car could of been in a rear end accident and the previous owner might of replaced it with another trunk with the quattro badge.

If you are still unsure, get your VIN # and check the carfax of you car and it will say in there.

My friend thought he had a quattro but then he found out that his car had gotten in a rear accident and they replaced the trunk with one that had the quattro badge, so again, dont rely on that.

I'd just check your CARFAX man

and yes, Quattro is a perminent AWD system, AND I LOVE IT!!!
Or just look for the presence of rear axles...

yes but that would require getting underneath the car whereas all you really have to go is go online to CARFAX.

Or just open your passenger door.

Tweaked, u are exactly right, but its up to this guy to choose and since he doesnt know much about his car yet then I figured I tell him the easiest ways to find out if its a quattro.

its a quattro, i've been underneath the car already. i had to put in an engine for this car already. before this Qcar i had a 96 fwd and it was sohc, i didn't like the power to much, plus it was automatic. had a chance to get this Q audi still auto but it has the 30v and that deff makes a diff. and just wondering about the quattro since this is a first.
