quick tranny question...
so as u all know, i sold the b5 a few months back... im not liking my saturn (surprise lol) anywho... im thinking about buying my b5 back from the guy, he fixed the fuel pump fuse problem thing that kept it from going over 65, even replaced all 4 o2 sensors and he only wants 500 more than what i sold it for...
but if i dont do that.. i found an 01 s4... engine and everything is good belts all look good too.. only problem.. no tranny.. it was an auto trans before... now if i buy the s4 and my a4 back, would i be able to put my a4 manual trans into the s4? or are they completely different??

i cant tell if u are being serious or not... but either way im buying the s4 for sure... maybe my a4 again... so when it happens ill let yall know.. unless he sells the car before i get my money lol
Welsome back, Phil... I have no knowledge when it comes to trannies, never really was my thing.
S4 though, huh? Finally steppin' up to the big leagues with the quattro! Hope your project goes well, but to be honest with you, I would probably look for a complete car, or find a S4 trans to put back in...

I can't let this go unpunished....
What the hell were you thinking? As someone who went from a 1996 Saturn SL2 to Brunnhilde, my B5, I could have stopped you from going to a Saturn before it was too late if only you would have asked for our opinions first. The Audi is ten times the car than any Saturn.
Although, in my Saturn's defense, I will say that in 7 years of ownership(I bought her new) it never let me down, and never had to put any money into it save for regular oil changes. On the other hand, it drove like a Saturn.
Looking forward to seeing your S4, hope the tranny job goes well.

There was a guy name Greg that owns a Audi shop in the NY/NJ area that threw a FWD A4 transmission in his S4 2.7t just for the fun of it.
