so i just applied rain x for the first time ever, have never used this stuff before but heard that it is good. has anyone used this stuff before, what are your honest opinions? i applied it to both of my mirrors and front and rear windshields.

 

Works great. Apply multiple coats and it will work even better. It temporarily fills in the microscopic cracks/dimples in your windshield/windows, so the more you use the better it works.

 

it is the greatest thing ever.
at first its kinda weird cause you can see all the the rain drops sliding off the windshield but your wipers will do alot more now aswell

 

I have been using it windshields both vehicles and boats for a decade. It's great stuff! Just don't use their anti-fog on the interior. This stuff leaves streaks and is difficult to remove.

Their Windshield washer solutions work great as well!

Funny you ask as they now manufacter wiper blades with their formula impregnated into the rubber I suppose.
That leads to my question. Are you guys happy with any particular aftermarket wiperblade out there?

Bosch Icon blades are absolutely amazing. they form right to the windshield and leave minimal steaks. works best with the rain x de-icer windshield washer fluid

 

Cool thanks for the quick response. I assume they are available at most good auto parts outlets like Napa, Kragen Auto Zone etc???
I'm in Central CALIF, so not sure if the Rain X washer fluid is needed.

I may have to try this. I've been quite unimpressed with all three of my brand new wipers

 

This stuff sucks in light rain and at low speed. With heavy rain, it works well.
