98.5 30v and I average 27-28 mpg about 50/50 city/hwy. For me it depends on the tires. On winters it's 24-25 mpg, cause they're sticky ice tires. I also have oem all-season tires I bought off a friend from a Toyota Matrix and there's a 4 mpg difference on the highway at least. Toyota puts lower resistance (cheaper) tires stock on a lot of their cars, and you'll notice you'll squeal easier in corners, lol!

I also thought the V6's had a taller 5th gear than the 1.8ts IIRC?

I'm alittle worried I'd get horrible gas mileage with the 1.8 just having the rev the nuts of it to go anywhere, My current daily driver is a grand cherokee with 380lbs/tq, all of it below 3500rpms. vs having to go to around 3-4k to get moving. Actually scared me to merge with traffic during a test drive.

I swear I saw someone who said they were getting 32-34mpg highway with the 2.8 with intake/exhaust.
