Default Rear Deck Speaker Help

My rear deck speakers are shot. I pulled them out and it's more than just the dust cap. I was wondering what a good upgrade was for them at a decent price. I bought a pair of pioneers but when i put them in it sounded pretty bad. I don't know why. I know the original speakers in my car were 2ohm and the pioneers were 4ohm. Does that really matter for sound quality? Help!

Do you have the Bose system or standard?

You probably need a small amp to power the rear speakers, the stock had a built in amp on the left speaker. Do a search on rear speakers, I've written about it a few times.

The Bose system has a 6 channel amp in the trunk that sends only bass to the two rear deck speakers. I had the same problem. You'll need another amp (small one will do) to power these speakers and you can tap into the rear line input to the Bose amp in the trunk.
