Default Rear Speakers not working on A4 1.8t

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this form and to Audi. I just bought 02 Audi 1.8t and I'm loving it. However, the the rear speakers don't work. I don't find any obvious problem (all the wires looks fine). Is there any magic switch in Audi that turns the rear speaker off? Thank you in advance.

Devin

there is something called a fader....it lets you setup volume distribution....check that first

besides that...since you have a 2002, you have a B6....if you ask in the B6 section, there will be more expertise reguarding your soundsystem (and your whole car for that matter)

Gl,

Thank you for your reply. I have tried the fader but there is no volume in the rear speakers. I will try posting it into B6 as well.

Thanks

Check fuses for the rear amplifier. Then check for power at the amp it self also check the power wire that turns it on when you turn the radio on. If both of those are good it is likely you have a bad amplifier. If there bad then more diagnostics is needed. Even if those are good its possible that your head unit isnt putting out sound for the rear but seems unlikely to me.

Devin,
gl is short for good luck, its not quattroA4's signature. And like he mentioned before you might want to head over to the B6 forum since everyone looking at this forum has a different car than you. gl!
