rear springs
Hi I have a 2000 Audi a4 quattro 1.8 avant, I need new springs as the arm over the tires were rubbing the tires, the springs I have on their now have a white and pink dot, I was wondering which doings I should get, and the part #, i was told I need 8d9511115e, does anyone know the difference between that part and8d9511115d? Thanks,
Clifford

8D9511115E is for 1.8s with the sport suspension, D is for 1.8s without the sport suspension.
I'm not sure if the rear springs on the avant are the same as the sedan, you'll want to check on that.
ECS does not list a spring with a single white and pink dot. Are you sure it doesn't have two pink marks? That would make it the E spring.

Also, are you running stock wheels and tires? I'm curious why you're rubbing..I can't imagine how a shot spring could cause rubbing, through I'm no suspension expert. Is the spring actually broken? That is not an uncommon failure.

Here's a pic of my spring colors, and of my tire clearance, that's with the stock 16" wheels and tires, and 20mm wheel spacers, and spring heighteners, the bars over my tires were rubbing the old tires and wore a big groove and had a flat on the hwy
