Angry Receiving a POS engine cover

I've been on the hunt for a used CF engine cover for awhile now, when I saw one pop up on Audizine for $60 I snatched it up.

It just arrived and wow, what a POS.

He had installed bronze/gold Audi rings on the cover, I asked him to remove those before shipping. He didn't.

Its covered in scratches, swirls, has chips large enough to catch a fingernail on, and in general looks like absolute ****.

He also failed to mention that the cover is brown, not black.

This was all he put for the description: "Asking $60 shipped carbon Fiber engine Cover bought it off a fellow Ziner im going a different RT my Loss Your Gain."

I fault myself for not probing him further about the cover before purchasing it, but come on man.

I've offered to ship it back on my dime if he will refund me the $. I'm not optimistic that he will agree though.

Yeah it does lol.

I've seen some other color CF weaves as well. This guy on ebay sells CF engine covers in different colors.

I just went and test fit it for the hell of it.

It will work, but its contacting the engine somewhere making it sit a little crooked. I'll have to look more into it before I purchase another cover. Maybe I'll just paint/powdercoat the valve cover and get a coilpack cover.

I purchased a carbonio intake dirt cheap awhile ago and I'm still working on getting the cover for it to fit. My hard fuel lines are apparently in a different location and are causing interference. I'm going to have to trim the cover's back right corner to make it work. I'd rather trim the cover than try to bend or rework the hard fuel lines.

Stupid 97!
