the a/c in my a4 stopped blowing cold air the other day. I took it to my mechanic and he said the compressor was to blame for my misery in the phoeninx summer heat.

i found a place that has remanufactured a/c compressors for a reasonable price. has anyone on here had/have a reman a/c compresser installed?

is there any part number you have to line the part up with similar to the abs modules? no must have these first 3 numbers and end with this letter to work with your car.

 

Most A/C compressors installed as replacements are reman'd units. From Audi, a new compressor is well north of $1000 I believe at this point, a reman'd is significantly cheaper and usually is just as reliable. Just make sure it has at least a year warranty on it.
