That seems expensive for just a muffler. You should visit/call aroundlocal muffler shops and find one you can trust to doit right, not justthe cheapest guy.
Try using the search - type in "remus" in the jump to "Audi A4"section, there are plenty of posts/pics there, and someone may have even mentioned where they bought theirs and how much they paid.

you can get borla's Magnaflows for around 150 for the muffler.

And that is about what you will pay for a Remus muffler, they are expensive, but sound amazing.

you could also search for the post I made about my borla exhaust https://www.audiforums.com/m_671821/tm.htm
I think I bought it for $658, but mind you that is the 1.8T full stainless cat-back. For just the muffler, that seems high. I bought mine at www.Allexhaust.com, just bc they had the best price and free shipping at the time I needed it. Just search google, amazon, and yahoo shopping for the muffler you want and find the best price.

SEARCH is your best friend here. There is also a sticky https://www.audiforums.com/m_700266/tm.htmin the A4 section with pics/vids of different exhausts, as well as answers to many other questions you'll have later - so read it all.
Everyone will have their own opinion of what they like better... but it's your car, so you search the topic thoroughly... andultimately you decide for yourself.

I've heard a couple 2.8s with the magnaflow mufflers. They sound just as good as the remus, even though the remus has a distinctive sound. Go with the magnaflow, you won't be disappointed.
