Default replacement control arm

I need a new upper right front control arm and have been looking at ECS tuning and noticed that they have a couple brands but im not sure which to choose. They have a Febi for $55, a Meyle for $85, and then a genuin audi brand for $125. Im not sure what the difference would be between these brands so if someone could let me know what the best value would be I would appreciate it. Thanks.

By the way this is the first control arm that ive had to replace, the rest are all original. The car is a 99.5 v6 quattro with 115k miles.

If you are going to replace the control arms, you might as well look into a kit to replace/possibly upgrade your suspension, and since your DIY, you'll be right there and taking all this off too, I'm just about to do this to my 97-A4, and I just figured, why not since you'll be there and it'll keep ya from having to do the bushings/tie rods. but thats my opinion. I found this kit on ebay, and my friend used it on his 99-A4, but it says it'll work for yours as well or the seller has a kit for your car as well.

thats a really good price, Im a little concerned about the quality of it when non ebay kits go for well over $500. That kit comes with everything that a person would want to replace right?

It all depends on how much profit the seller is wanting to make. Yes, the kit comes with replacement bushings and control arms which is all you need in doing everything. However, you might want to look into polyurithane(sp) bushings instead of the rubber ones. They last longer and work better, in my opinion.

After replacing a control arm last year and know realizing i need a new tie rod end im just going to get the whole kit. looking at this kit on ebay, there is a full metal tie rod version for about $30 more.

Any comments? Would it be wise to spend the extra $30 and get full metal tie rod ends?

Thanks

No, unless you plan on keeping the car around for a long time, e.g. replacing the motor/transmission when they eventually fail, etc. The upgraded TREs will last longer but they're not worth it if you won't be keeping the car for a long time.

Heres a Meyle version for $200 more...not sure why its nearly twice the price, besides the metal tie rods.

Meyle is def good stuff... Ive said this before in so many of these threads, but I used to blow through oem CA's like crazy until I put the meyle kit on, after that I had zero problems.
