Default replacing shift **** question...

just wondering if anyone here has put a B6 shift **** on their B5.. and if they are the same thread and fitment. i like the B6 ***** much better.. and mine has no shift pattern on it right now cause the previous owner had a heart-o-gram under the clear cap.. looked cool but wasnt my style. so i want that factory look back.. its 5 speed, push down reverse to the right and down.. (where 6th would be)

will this work out?

go with a wooden b5 shift ****. it looks sweet and matches the wood grain dash. Look for it, that's what I have.

Point of information requested.

How does the **** come off exactly? Mine is worn out, leather is practically falling off it and I do have the wood trim so mschwister12, could you point me in a good direction for one of the woodgrain shift ***** you mentioned, and anyone else instruct me on removal and replacement of the ****? I've tried twisting it off, having assumed it just screws on and off, but it seems abnormally hard to twist off, is there some special way to do it or do I just need to twist harder?

thanks.

sorry to threadjack.
