Replacing tail lights

I have a '96 A4 and wanted to confirm that a pair of tail lights from a '99 A4 would be a simple swap. Is this true?

im thinking about getting the euro tails from ECS tuning i like the look of them...

How much do those run? I like them. I would either do that or LED taillights.

I like them too, much nicer looking than the stock ones and a lot of other "euro" tails you see out there.

yea.. i saw them on Docurley's car and i went searching for them, they are Euro RS4 reps once i get 200$ im ordering them. my Facelift tails should go quick on here like my headlights did
