Default Replacing Washer fluid reservoir

I am not sure how it happened but my Washer fluid reservoir is cracked and when it is above half it leaks everywhere. I want to eventually replace it so before I jump into it some weekend, how much time and work is it to replace???

Its not rocket science, just a little bit time consuming. I had to jack up the LF and pull the fender liner out, then unhook all the hoses, pumps, and sensors. Then its 3 (or 4, can't remember) bolts to get the tank out. The hoses and stuff are easier to get to if you unbolt the tank first so you can wiggle it around.

No way that I could see to take it out the top without taking apart the power steering lines. o_O

Sounds suspiciously like a cracked headlight washer pump, vice the reservoir (the pump is halfway up the tank). I just went through this myself, not hard at all, removal and replacement of the tank one hour tops.

Some folks just plug the hole for the pump, but I went ahead and bought a new one online for approx. $60.

If the tank is cracked, you may be able to fuse it with super glue, or weld it back together using a soldering iron (or a combination of the two).

Thats a good point, seems to me that the pump is far more likely than a cracked reservoir

Do you guy's have one or two tanks? I seem to have two. One down low near the sub-frame and the other up high that I fill both from. Takes nearly two gallons! As I figure it the top one supplies the windshield and the lower the headlights. (which don't work)

Okay. But this is what I see.

The top one.

The connection.

The lower one, right under the coolant res.

The hoses from the lower one go to the front. The hoses from the top go to the hood.

That does look like a different setup, mine is like the tank CCA4 posted. Too much of a noob to know much more than the specifics for my '01, sorry. But if the headlight washer does not work, I would make that the first thing to check as a possible source for your leak.

lost I'll be honest, I've never seen that before

So when you fill up with washer fluid, pouring it into the reservoir with the cap also fills up the one under the coolant tank? Thats so weird!

What I find weird is that even though the headlight pump is shot. The fluid level is going down. Also that I still have juice in the upper one. Somehow my knowledge of gravity fed systems does not apply here.
