Default Resonator delete anyone?

I was wondering if any 1.8t owners had taken out their resonator (mid-muffler) and only kept the muffler on. I want to know if there's a noticeable sound difference and if would even sound good. If anyone had a sound clip, that would be great too. Thanks.

Hums, meaning drone? So the sound wouldn't be anything like an aftermarket or custom cat-back exhaust?

I've always wondered what my car would sound like without the resonator, but my wife is always telling me she can here me half way across town as it is. I never really thought of my car as very loud, but appearantly it can be heard for quite a distance...

Nope.. you'll prolly get a little bit more noise under heavy throttle, but it prolly wont sound very good. And, you'll get more hum mostly at cruising, which can get annoying..

It's too loud and in the cabin. I do have a magnaflow muffler on though. The whole car buzzed and it was just annoying after a couple weeks. My buddy had a resonator from his 06 fusion that fit perfect and now I'm happy. Course now I need my flex bellows replaced..@#$@!!

i can also hear the whip being cracked in KS all the way from MN!!! you wifey has you on a tight leash! i would take the exhaust off from the flex pipe back for a day and see what she says probably hear you start your car at work for your lunch break!
