Default right hand indicator

This has been an ongoing problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Have tried a couple of times to gain access to the the bulb, but gave up. If you tap the holder with a long bladed screwdriver it works for a while. Took off the air filter housing, but still can't get in to pull-off the plastic bulb holder.
Is taking out the headlight the only option? Is it easy to do?

what kind of headlights do you have? one-piece or two-piece? if you have the two-pice headlights then you can just pull out the whole corner light with no problems. i am not sure about the one-piece lights cuz i am getting mine in mail this week and havent really had a chance to look at them installed on a car before.
