well my car is officially fucked...the fan clutch seized which then shattered the fan sending it through my timing belt, radiator, AC condenser, and hood
Not sure whether I'm going to go 2.0 liter GT30 and swap in the manual trans now or pick up a B5 S4 instead and wait to get mine fixed

 

Damn that sucks I have to say though, I like your thinking on the plans, especially the 2.0 conversion. I know it's your money, but that gets my vote! GL with it and of course, keep us up to date on the process. Any carnage/autopsy pics of what happened?

 

I would say buy an S4 and slowly save your pennies to build up the A4


sorry to hear the sh!tty news ....be sure to keep your A4, it is one of the sexiest on here, all you gotta do is get rid of that tip and get yourself a a trans outa a 2.8 or an S4...


I would also be interested in seeing what the engine bay looks like....sounds pretty intense [&o]

 

Manual swap and 2.0l gt30 build, then you can start saving for an s4.



Oh, and make sure you swpa in an electric fan

Holy sh*t didn't see this one coming. Gotta say, your A4 makes a good stand in reppin' our B5's. I would do a rebuild and start looking for the S4. How bad did you not like the tip?

Sorry to hear man. You had one of the sweetest A4s on here. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Even though I would probably fix the A4 then get the S4 or atleast slowly build up the A4 again while cruising in my S4, but then again I'm a pack rat... i hate getting rid of stuff.

 

Oh man that really sucks! If you decide to do a part out definilty let me know as I would be interested in the bumper and several other parts.
