Default rogue alarm

so is it just unreasonable to lock our cars with the windows cracked? after about 5 minutes the alarm will go off- this is extremely annoying and i couldnt think of a faster way to drain a battery. ive tried that little switch behind the driver seat with no result. can someone help me out its ******* pissing me off.

that switch is what turns off the motion sensors inside the car. if the alarm is still going off that switch might not be working. i think it has a little indicator light on it. i know my switch is loose and when you push it, it doesnt feel like it actually clicked sometimes.

yeah thats the button to turn it off but there is some sort of sequence i believe...
(checking manual...) it states
-"open one of the doors"
-"press the switch in the door pillar. the indicator light in the swithc will come on. the indicator light next to the locking **** in the window sill will come on for approximately 3 seconds. this verifies that the interior movement sensors have been deactivated."
-"lock the vehicle"
-"the indicator light will blink quickly for approxiamtely 3 seconds at first. then, after approximately 30 seconds, the light will flash slowly."
-"drink beer"
