Roof racks look lame - especially on sedans. Only install them if you're going to use them.

I think racks add to the Euro theme. It really depends on the look you're going for tho. IMO it'd ruin the look if you're going for a sporty look and you added the roof rack. That's when the racks mess with the lines of the car.

I think slammed cars with roof racks look really cool. Obviously if you're going for a sportier race car look, racks (and being slammed for that matter) don't fit that mold.

When I think of slammed, I usually think of lower than the average lowering job. Most of the lowering springs you get are only a 1.5 inch drop, slammed would be someone who went out of their way to drop below 2 inchs and put the thing nearly on the pavement.

I think that's a good definition.

Slammed:

The point there being that those suspension modifications aren't designed to improve handling or performance, because cars that low won't handle for ****. They're just supposed to look cool.

I never really liked the look of a roof rack but they definitely look better on the avant than the sedan b5 because it looks more like an SUV. But as somebody here agreed, function is more important than form.

That B5 CCA4 posted isn't slammed! but again, everyone honestly has different definitions of what is considered '"slammed".

Honestly, I'm more of a form > function guy. In which that I admit I got the roof rack mostly for the looks. I agree that lowered B5's with rack and bike on top is almost the sekcs. However, I do understand some people don't like the look at all.

BTW CCA4 - just saw your bike. Nice Canondale. We should go riding together sometime man! Drive accross the country with the bikes on our racks. Haha
