Hey guys I know alot of you have the RS4 front bumper on here and im probably gonna go ahead and jump on the bandwagon I love the look and my current bumper is not worth fixing if im gonna do this anyway. So my question is to those of you who have them where did you get yours? how much was shipping and painting? and what do you guys think about the ones on ebay they're cheap but a little sketchy.

160 for a bumper sounds like its going to be made of paper mache

 

Yeah I'd stay away from that one. That bumper (and most cheap bumpers/side skirts/etc.) are made of fiberglass. The first time you bump somethin with that or hit a speed bump, curb, parking stone, etc. the paint is gonna start chipping off, the glass will start fraying and it'll look a hot mess. Stick it out and save up for a urethane piece like this

Their stuff is overpriced, but thats the kind of bumper you're gonna want.

fiberglass will also crack and bust upon any kind of impact where urethane bends. definitely worth the money.

 

is there any difference between the s4 and the rs4 bumper? not ebay or reigher, but real euro spec rs4 avant?

 

You can't fit OEM RS4 bumper without some modifications.

 

....mostly because the RS4 is wider!

 

S4 will fit in place of a stock A4 bumper. RS4 requires new bumper struts and massaging the bumper cover with heat to align with the fenders. The biggest difference when installed is the RS4 vent on the side.

You can save yourself a lot of installation headaches and go with an S4 bumper and cut the grills to look like an RS4, but you wont have the side vents.

Or, look for a hamstermarket RS4 bumper like Reiger.

 

wel i just dont like how aftermarket bumpers go lower... cuz i want a diff bumper and maybe get s4 rear bumper but i dont wanna change the look of the car (like how low the bumper is compared to sideskirts etc) but im prefacelft anyways so even the s4 bumper wont bolt up lol

 

^ the A4 and S4 rear bumper is the same in America, maybe your thinking of the euro S4 rear bumper.

 

Dont they have the bolt on RS4 bumpers for our car? im not talking about the OEM one
