Unhappy Running on 3 cylinders,help!

I have a 1998 Audi A4 1.8TQ
The car is pretty much stock except for the B.O.V. (blow off valve) I installed and a catback exhaust which I also installed. My problem is the computer is not sending a signal to the spark plug causing it not to spark the other 3 are working just fine. I checked the spark plugs they were fine,I also checked the wires and what I think it may be is the computer, can anyone help? Thanks.

Have you checked to see if it is just a bad coil pack?

You also didn't say which cylinder is not getting spark because it could also just be a bad ICM which is the small part sitting on your air box.

No spark on #2 which is the one you marked in your picture is always caused by the ICM(ignition control module). It is the black little box that is bolted to the top of your air box and has a harness connected to it. The ICM is well know for going bad and 99.99% of the time its the part that controls cylinder #2 coil pack which is the part you showed pulled out of the head in the 2nd picture.

Picture of the ICM and where it is located.

There is nothing you can do, it needs to be replaced. The ICM controls the coils, basically tells them when to fire. The part of the ICM that controls the coil for cylinder #2 is know to go bad, when this happens you need to replace the part.

I live in Murrieta which is right between Temecula and Lake Elsinore.

If you need one I can send you a Paypal request and then tell you when I have it on hand or if you want I can just charge you shipping so you dont have to drive all the way out here.
