Well if you visit ECS Tuning's website, there is a difference. There is the super generic for 89$ and then there is OEM level Bosch for 159 and then a top level Bosch for 209 and then a genuine Audi part for 189.

Depending on what you paid, I would say quality and longevity will be the issue. How long will that part last you? Well who knows.

What year and make? Because I thought only the AWM engines could run without the Maf fine. That's why everyone else with the older engines was telling me it would run like crap. And when I did it, the car ran amazingly well.

Which told me that, my MAF was bad. So if you unplug yours, and your car still runs like butt, your MAF may be bad.

But you can go to any Auto Zone type place and get that CEL code pulled, which will help you out greatly.

if anyone wants to toss suggestions.
My car is 96 audi a4 2.8 v6 quattro.

I've replaced the ac clutch relay, i 've tried a second cc unit and i've had the freon and high side switch checked.

About 2 years ago, the snow flake disappeared off my cc unit screen. When I hit the ac button, the snow flake would appear, then quickly disappear. It would not stay lit. A couple of time i tried and the ac would stay on for a short while then again, stop.

finally the snowflake stopped staying on at all. you can hit the ac button and the snowflake appears and disappears, never engaging the ac clutch. So its almost like the ac slowly went away. it wasn't anything that immediately broke and then i didn't have ac.

As far as the engine, if directly powered, the ac compressor works and gives me nice frosty air. The ac condenser fan, when directly powered works great.

Any and all suggestions will be welcome.
