Default Rwd conversion Build

So like 3 weeks ago I grenaded my trans done. And I happened to pick one up for a deal at 250$ shift linkage intact and all out of a flood car. I have always wanted to do the Rwd conversion, the only thing that was stopping my was pulling it out. Yeah everybody says its easy but we drive audis now, mind you with the trans out of the car it literally took 10mins to have the snout off and 10mins to get the diff out of that.
I'm going to do a full write up in the DIY section and post a bunch of pictures.this thread is for ***** and giggles and eventually some drift videos and general Hoonigan ness!
I bought this car stock with 86k on it 4 yrs ago.
The car is a 98 2.8qm with a pes G2 kit. Other mods are Ac deleted, lw alternator pulley. Cat delete Obx cat back, cold air, rs4 motor and stern snub mount. Nex coils with pro tek springs.
Bigger front sway bar and a larger rear.
Still need akipol diff support and rear diff bushings.

Here's a link to a thread on the Zine that has everything you might need to know including links to other threads that cover the actual conversion. It'll give you pointers and one even has a video I think. AWD to RWD Conversion

We've had a few guys come through here in past asking about a RWD conversion. Most of us have asked "Why bother?" but since your doing it for ***** and giggles, I guess that point is moot.

Thanks for the link. I'm doing conversion cause it's different and I have a second awd diff for when cold weather comes.
And I've been around awhile not really just passing through. But is should be fun

Here is a link I used

And both threads are useless no real info there just guys talking ****. Plus all pictures are gone.
And I'm changing things like springs and sway bars to make car handle correctly. Im assuming that most guys that have done the swap expect the awd set ups to be good for Rwd.
Well I'm setting up a Rwd set up to be a good Rwd set up. I have inquires in to hyper coil and I'm trying to figure out if I want to go up 200lbs or 100lbs at a time for rear spring rate.

I second that! I hope to see this thing up there. The idea of being able to do this and still have an extra center diff left over if you want to go back is awesome. Excited to see how it turns out.
