Default Is it an S-line?

Let's try this again.

So tonight I went to look at a job (I'm in construction). And when I was almost there I called and she said the driveway is a bear I said no sweat I've got awd. So I pull up and she has an a4 too. Mine is a 98 a4qm30v w 193k that I paid 2500- for. Her's is brand new. So she's telling me she's had 5 audis and totalled one last month after she had it for like four months. So I notice through the garage opening that the grille looks like it has a red S on it and I ask her is it an S line. Blank look, no idea. And this lady was sharp, a cpa, doing well, etc. So I go over and look and it is, and I try to tell her how cool her car is, and about AUDIFORUMS etc. She thought it was funny. There was a dent in the rear quarter and a sticker of a mailbox on the front d/s fender. Her friend put it there like how fighter pilots get marks of enemies they've shot down. She had backed over his mailbox. Great lesson in person's "point of reference". How does the salesman sell someone the S and the buyer not even know it? I imagine the price diff is significant? She was very funny about it all, but had no idea about the difference. She descibed herself as a bad driver, so how does she get the S??????
One day my car is going to break down and I'm going to make a real post!!!

i could be wrong but i dont think the A4's came with the S-line package in 98. i thought it started after 99.5 or even as late as the B6 models. it could be an S4 grill. can you get a picture of it?

He said hers is brand new. His is the older one.

Do they even sell many non-s-line cars anymore? Everyone I see these days that is 2007+ is an s-line but that might just be the area I am in. Also dealership probably just put people into whats available. She picked a color and he said oh I have this great one out here test drove and she left with it. Easy sale/lease.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. The woman's is brand new. I'm hoping if I do work at her house she'll let me drive it. Do you think I can swap the engine and suspension quickly without her knowing?

He said her car is BRAND NEW...Alot of people, majority women, are clueless about the cars they buy. At the shop I use to work at people would come in and they wouldn't even know how many litres or if it's a v6 or v8.
