Weak. Glad to hear PES is helping you out though, even if it will be a little more expensive.

Ya I called Patrick @ PES and he was really helpful. Apparently he's an S4 owner haha. So I think when I get the money saved up to do this I'm going to actually drive out there to do it though. They are in eastern PA and it would make sense to me to do it this way.

so i see i have multiple haters on my IC piping lol. well all of the piping for my system except the front two segments are actually metal piping wrapped in a heat resistant cover, seems to do a fairly good job.

As for routing the intercooler piping any other way that is impossible, literally. And to address the fact it looks ricey, i agree, but i can handle the amount it is actually seen with the bumper on the car. Or should i say what is left of my bumper.

And finally that is flexible boost tube bought from a local shop here in WA that was tested right in front of me, easily holding 30 psi. So its marginal benefit easily outweighs its marginal cost IMO. It is a double layered cloth/plastic tubing with a metal wire wrapping its way around the circumference gradually making its way up the entire length.

some of the comments i read hurt my pride/ego lol so i had to stand up for my car. Thanks for watching the video everyone and good luck with your g1 build somebody, looks like you are super close.

This makes me feel much better. From far away, it looks like that springy plastic air duct they use for heat/AC vents. Props for fitting that thing behind the stock bumper, APR says it won't fit. And more props for comin to stick up for your car

Yeah props for that.

Now how much did you exactly cut away for that IC to fit?

I kinda feel bad now... lol

I honestly thought it was flexible exhaust tubing.........

Function > form sometimes though. However I'm going to go with welding pipes and powder coating them to a OEM like install

Oh and lastly
WELCOME TO THE FORUM =D, good to have another G1 on here!

I see you said your changing your Flik's to gold. *cough* copycat! *cough*

[QUOTE=Keegan0103;1252284]Yeah props for that.

http://tomasz.data2net.org/gallery/a...ture_003_Large

i become unhappy when looking at the same color for too long. I enjoy sanding the rims down each time and changing it up. so i have decided gold is where its at...for now

Oh and to be able to run metal piping for the intercooler throughout the entire system will be very hard. Even with the bumper support cut out as shown above (or even more) you will be unable to slide the upright bumper support bolt all the way through due to the lack of pliability caused by your metal piping i.e., you wont be able to push the bumper far enough towards the rear of the car to enable the bolt to slide through as well as catch the threads to "screw in". 4rings from scaudi.com i am sure you know is the leading light in terms of force inducted 2.8 and he even used a flexible polyurethane section for the exact reasons i stated.

as shown below

It will also help immensely with your fitment if you have an after market bumper obv, or the more cost efficient solution is dealing with something along the lines of a rieger front lip. The stock lower valence wraps under the car like a piece of crap unfortunately which causes additional problems with the fitment of the intercooler. I mean you could always go no lower valance...but that would look "ricey"...

And IMO and many others the option to have an intercooled setup individualistic of the G1 design serves as a vital purpose due to our stock internals (mostly the piston rings) going to **** with just small increases in boost. The cooling effect to the intake temps will help the car substantially when it comes to staying healthy and dealing with the increased stress if you are planning on going with a smaller pulley (2.9) which is the best bang for your buck in terms of the G1 or G2 system. Anything smaller then the 2.9 pulley is suicide anyway, 4rings can vouch for that.

I've been talking to 4 rings quite a bit through out my parts sourcing. I am eliminating the secondary air injection to get me some more room in there and I also have an S4 bumper I've been waiting to install. Either way I'm starting with meth injection then going intercooler.

You are really going to throw the S4 bumper on there??? I mean i understand if you got it cheap or due to some other circumstances, but why not, "not be a poser" and just get the RSR bumper which has more room and looks infinitely better aesthetics wise IMO?

Ah man i am so jealous you are getting a water/meth kit! which one are you going to run? Snow-performance stage 2 that runs off the MAF readings?....I hope so!!! Be careful not to run a high concentrate of methanol, which i am sure you have read tears up the coating on the SC blades.

can you elaborate on the removal of the secondary air injection?
