The drivers side seat belt stalk on my 2001 A4 has stopped working. The buckle will go into the catch but does not lock in. Has anybody had this problem before and also, do you have to remove the seat to fit a new one.

First I've ever heard of that happening. I imagine that won't be an easy part to find though, you oughta keep an eye on part outs in the classifieds here. I just went outside and took a look at mine, it looks like you are gonna have to remove the seat to get at it.

 

There was one I saw in a part out on here recently I'll see if I can find it again
