Damn, a whole new component. Sidewall. I'm just looking for cheaper lol. I want a good tire, but I dont have that much cash to spend on it. I had a deal lined up for new Khumo Ecstays or whatever they're called. $200 for the set. That fell through though.

what about 225/40? That opens me up to a lot more options for brands and such.
Sorry to jack this ****.

These might be up to par with your taste

These are 40 series profile. 20" rims for B8's go into the 30's. That's rubberband status boy.

Stretching would be cool for the look, but I dont want to overstretch.
I don't see what the problem is. 215 will def give a stretched look. FK's are liquid when it comes to getting stretched.

I would go with some 225's if you're on budget. 235's are optimal. Also if you go "low" you'll have no problems, just roll your fenders appropiately. Slammed is when you rub.

Cool deal, thanks man. I'm looking at some Nankang NS-IIs. Good idea?

I've advised off the Nankangs. I just try to not cheap out too much on tires. Cheapest tires I'd get would be the Kumho's or General UHP's. Tirerack usually has them in the low $100's or even sub. I got 225's a while back for $89 a pop. Good thread wear and no noise. Also great grip for a cheap-o.

Nankangs = you get what you pay for

the sidewall height is not only determined by the series of the tire like you guys are making it seem..

ns2's are good for stretching and they seem like a good tire if you're going mainly for looks and don't expect awesome handling, I planned on putting them in 205/45's on my 17x8.5 benz wheels if I ever ended up using them. you can find them ~$300 for a new set on ebay. if you don't mind buying used tires you could save a lot by doing that. 225 could be difficult depending how low you want to go. I cut up front 225s on stock celebrations after driving probably less than 10 miles..

Ok, lol. I think I'm just going to have to put some more money away before I get tires. I'm too tired to think about all this now though. Too many potential purchases, not enough total cash.

im running UHPs on my 18x8's at 225-40-zr18.. again only on stock sport but they look pretty good.. even a little too meaty but the ride is very nice.. no road noise, and the tread in the rain is real good.. i wish the profile tread look was a little more agressive, but the tires for the price (got them from tire rack around 85-88 bucks a piece) and they are awesome.. had them on for 2 summers and still have a shitload of tread on them..
