Selling Whole or Parting Out
Hey man.....i really feel for your loss, but here's what I think.....
First things first...go to autozone and get the check engine light codes and post them here (i'm assuming you don't have a vag-com, but if so use that instead)
I say this because one of those codes could tell you the core porblem to your engine and it actually might just a part, or a small repair. I got that you drove for a while with no oil, but on well built engines, like the 1.8t and the chevy 3800 and the bmw 2.8 inline6, among others, they are workhorses, they're built to last if you take care of them. A ten mile trip with no oil (im assuming mostly highway) would not be enough to brake these engines over. Besides, of something mechanically is wrong, you will HEAR it on most occasions. With that being said...(not to kill no ones dreams here for you parts
) i have found a break booster for $20 w/warranty from a place called:
MARSHALL AUTO PARTS
740-474-2104
800-333-2104
AS for the rear bearing, check out this ebay store for that, I bought a pair of bearing for like $60 plus $10 shipping:
http://myworld.ebay.com/deutschepartsusa/
I believe you have a internal issue that probably has to do with vacuum, even though oil has nothing to do with it, you will be surprised. But this is my point of view.....by the way I do need parts as well, but i'll wait untill you decide before i ask.....lol

Thanks everyone for your responses. I actually sold the Audi whole on Friday. Didn't get as much as I probably could have for the car, but I'll take it. If anyone is concerned, I was very truthful on the the condition of the car.
Funny thing, as soon as I sold it, the check engine light went off. Thanks everyone, not sure if I'll be back on the forum - not sure what is next.
